Missouri Weighs Steps in Intervening for Troubled Schools

Faith Leaders to Watch in 2014

Two people associated with MORE2 are on the list of Faith Leaders to watch in 2014 compiled by the Center for American Progress.

The Rev. Dr. William Barber II, President of the North Carolina NAACP and leader of the Moral Mondays movement will be the keynote speaker at the ninth annual MORE2 Imagine banquet on June 12, 2014 at the Marriott Muehlebach in downtown Kansas City.  Check under the Banquet tab for information on how to purchase tickets to this event.

Anna Garcia-Ashley is the Executive Director of the Gamaliel Foundation,  a nonpartisan network of faith-based organizations in the United States and around the world.  MORE2 is an affiliate of the Gamaliel Foundation.

Rev. Bobby Love, Dr. Takes a Stand for Immigration in Washington, D.C.

On Thursday, August 1, 2013, Rev. Bobby Love, Senior pastor of the Historic Second Baptist Church of Olathe was arrested in an act of civil disobedience  in Washington, D.C. to assure passage of Comprehensive Immigration Reform.

Kansas City Fast-Food Workers Strike for Higher Wages and Right to Unionize
